Columbia-Greene Chapter

Welcome to the Columbia-Greene Chapter of the                        New York State Building Officials Conference.

 On June 13, 2001 twelve Code Enforcement Officers and two representatives from the NYS Department of State Codes Division met in a restaurant in Athens, NY and held the first meeting of the Columbia-Greene Chapter of NYSBOC. Charter members were Ray Brooks, George Holsopple, Al Schnare, Joe Bonacci, Leonard Asaro, Fred Heller, Al Schmidt, Frank March, Gary Traver, Randy Omerod, John Del Vecchio, Stanley Koloski, Mark Anderson (DOS) and Jerry Couse (DOS).

 These individuals saw the advantages of establishing a local chapter to focus on issues that were common in our counties. Continuing education was a high priority and no time was wasted forming a committee to locate and schedule educational programs for the chapter.

 Today we have grown to over 70 members and our membership is comprised of building officials, design professionals and others with an interest in the building trade. We invite you to join us in promoting professionalism in the building industry.
